Shikarpuri Karahi


Ingredients
  • Chicken 1 kg
  • Ginger paste 2 tbsp
  • Garlic paste 1 ½ tbsp
  • Oil 3 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Black pepper, crushed 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Red chili, crushed 1 ½ tsp
  • Dry ginger powder 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Tomatoes ½ kg
  • Onion 1
  • Green chilies 4
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Garam masala powder ½ tsp
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
Method
  • Wash and clean the chicken.Sauté ginger and garlic in oil and add the chicken. Fry for 2 minutes and then put all the spices except garam masala, along with tomato, onion and green chilies. When chicken is done, add yoghurt and sauté well till little dry, and then add garam masala and cook for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with green coriander and serve hot with rotis.
