Grilled Fish and Cheese Toast


Ingredients:
  • Surmai fish ½ kg
  • Cheese 100 grams
  • Flour 1 tbsp
  • Cumin powder ½ tsp
  • Onion 1 (small)
  • Green chillies 4
  • Vinegar 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Mustard powder ½ tsp
  • Milk ½ cup
  • Chopped coriander leaves ½ bunch
  • Thin slice of butter 1
  • Bread 8 slices
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Tomato ketchup 1 tbsp
Method:
  • In a saucepan, boil the fish by adding 2 cups of water, salt, onion (chopped into big pieces), 2 green chillies (slit open), cumin powder and vinegar. After the fish is boiled, let it cool and then flake the fish. Strain the fish water and set it aside. In another saucepan, heat butter and oil. Remove the saucepan from the stove. Now add Maida, salt, pepper powder, mustard powder, and mix. Slowly add fish water and keep on mixing. Then add milk and keep on mixing. See that no lumps are formed. Then put this mixture on stove and keep on mixing. Now add cheese. After the cheese melts, add flaked fish in the mixture. Keep on mixing till a smooth paste is formed. Remove from fire and add chopped coriander, 2 green chillies chopped and tomato ketchup. Let it cool to room temperature. Apply this mixture on the bread and put it in a preheated oven and grill for 15 minutes.
