Brown Sugar Brownies
Ingredients:
- Salt 1/2 tsp
- Flour 1 cup
- Baking powder 1 tsp
- Unsalted butter 8 oz
- Chopped chocolate 5 oz
- Packed dark brown sugar 2 cups
- Eggs 3
- Vanilla essence 1 tbsp
- Mix flour, baking powder, and salt and set aside. Put butter and chocolate in a bowl over a pan of simmering water and let melt. Set aside to cool once melted. Beat brown sugar into the butter and chocolate mixture. Add in the eggs one by one. Add the vanilla essence too. Mix in the flour mixture but do not use a beater. Spoon into a greased and floured tin or pyrex dish and bake at 180 degrees C for 30 minutes or until a skewer or a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs attached to it. Cool in tin and then cut in squares and serve.
