Napoletana sauce


Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • ¼ cup basil leaves
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 ½ kg tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cups boiled and drained pasta
Method
  • Heat 1 tbsp olive oil. Cook onion, garlic, basil and salt, add tomato paste, saute, add tomatoes and cook covered on slow flame till done, stir in remaining olive oil and simmer. Serve over boiled and drained pasta.
