Chicken and Sausage Soup


Ingredients:
  • Butter 1/4 cup
  • Flour 1/4 cup
  • Cream 2-1/2 cups
  • Milk 2-1/2 cups
  • Chicken stock cubes 2
  • Cream cheese (softened) 8 oz
  • Cooked, chopped chicken 2-1/2 cups
  • Chopped sausage 1/2 cup
  • Grated cheese 2 cups
Method:
  • Melt butter and then add the flour to make a roux. Cook for about a minute. Add the milk and the chicken stock cube dissolved in hot water. Heat for a few minutes and then add the cream cheese. While continuously stirring, bring to a boil and add chicken and sausages. Take off heat and stir in cheese. Serve immediately.
