Layered Baked Potatoes


Ingredients
  • Potatoes ½ kg
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Garlic, crushed 3 cloves
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Black pepper, crushed 1 tsp
  • Cheddar cheese, grated 1 cup
  • Milk 1 ¼ cup
  • Cream 2/3 cup
  • Egg 1
  • Parsley to garnish
Method
  • Peel and very thinly slice the potatoes, arrange them in a greased Pyrex dish, sprinkle crushed garlic, salt, pepper and cheese. Continue layering till all ingredients have been used, finish with a layer of potatoes and cheese. Whisk milk, cream and egg till smooth and top. Pour over potato layer and top with remaining butter, bake for 30 minutes or till done on 180 degrees C till potatoes are tender, garnish with parsley and serve hot.
