Dhabaa Chicken


Ingredients:
  • Coarsely chopped onions 3
  • Garlic cloves chopped 2
  • Chopped ginger 1 1-inch
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Ground coriander 1 tbsp
  • Ground cumin 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli crushed 1/2 tsp
  • Cinnamon 1/4 tsp
  • Ground cloves a pinch
  • Ground cardamom a pinch
  • Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • Tomato puree cup
  • Chicken breast cubed½ kg
  • Salt to taste
  • Garam masala for sprinkling
  • Chopped coriander 2 tbsp
Method:
  • Heat oil. Add the coriander, cumin, crushed red chillies, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom and cook over low heat until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the onion, ginger and garlic ground together and cook until the mixture is golden brown. Add the turmeric and tomato puree and simmer until slightly thickened. Season the cubed chicken with salt and add. Add water, cover and bring to a boil. Simmer over low heat until the chicken is cooked. Sprinkle garam masala on top, garnish with coriander and serve with rice or naan.
