Printed Strawberry Swiss Roll


Ingredients:
  • Flour 1 cup
  • Caster sugar 1-1/4 cups
  • Eggs 4
  • Strawberry essence few drops
  • Red food colour as required
  • Green food colour as required
  • Melted butter 2 tbsp
  • Butter to grease
  • Baking soda 1 pinch
  • Baking powder 1-1/2 tsp
  • Fresh strawberries 1 cup
  • Salt to taste
For Filling:
  • Melted chocolate 1/2 cup
  • Fresh cream 1-1/2 cups
  • Cocoa powder 1 tbsp
Method:
  • In a bowl, add 2 egg yolks, 2 tbsp of sugar and mix it properly. Add few drops of strawberry essence. Now add 2 tbsp of flour and mix it well. Add a pinch of baking soda in the mixture and divide the mixture into two portions. Now add food color to each portion with a different color one green and one red.Take a butter paper and cut it to the size of your baking tray and draw any pattern as you like (Flower or strawberries) on it with the help of pencil.Take two piping bags with needle nozzles and filled them with prepared colours portions fill the pattern on the butter paper with the help of piping bags neatly and pull the tray into the freezer for approximately 10 minutes.Take the two eggs white and left eggs in a bowl and add the left sugar in it and beat it till it become frothy. Add ½ tsp of strawberry essence and mix it then keep it on side.Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together mix it with the prepared batter and keep mixing until it become one.Take the printed Tray out of the freezer and spread the mixture on it evenly and put the tray in preheated oven at 180c and bake it for 10 to 12 minutes.Take the tray out of the oven and remove the butter paper from the cake and roll the cake on a fresh butter paper carefully and tightly so that it will not break and put it in refrigerator for 10 minutes. 
  • For Filling:
    • Mix 2 tbsp of caster Sugar, melted chocolate and strawberry essence drops with fresh cream and beat it till it become hand. Take out the wrapped cake from the fridge and unfold it carefully then spread the filling on it and place fresh strawberries on it and roll it again. Swiss roll is ready.
