Chinese Fish
Ingredients:
- Fish Cubes ½ kg
- Soya Sauce 2 tbsp
- Vinegar 1 tbsp
- Salt ½ tsp
- Red Chili Powder 1 tsp
- Corn Flour 2 tbsp
- spring Onion to garnish 1
- Brown or white Rice to serve
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Chopped Garlic 1 tsp
- Ginger 1/2 inch Piece
- Diced Onion 1
- Diced Capsicum 1
- Sliced Green Chilies 4-5
- Corn Flour 1 tbsp
- Water 1/4 cup
- Soya Sauce 1 tbsp
- Vinegar 2 tsp
- Salt ½ tsp
- Sugar 1/2 tsp
- Marinate fish in soya sauce, vinegar, salt, red chilli powder and 2 tbsp cornflour for 15 minutes. Sear on a hot pan, a couple of minutes on each side. Add brown sauce and Simmer for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with spring onions and serve with brown/white rice.
- For the brown sauce, heat oil, add chopped garlic and thinly sliced ginger, diced onion, diced capsicum, sliced green chillies. Stir-fry for 2 minutes. Now add about 3/4 cup water and bring it to a slow simmer and add the cornflour mixed with 1/4 cup water and soya sauce, vinegar, salt and sugar. Simmer for 2 minutes till glossy.
