Chocolate Strawberry Delight
 

Ingredients:
  • A thin layer of 9 inch round chocolate cake
  • Separated eggs 4
  • Condensed milk 3/4 tin
  • Cooking chocolate 1-1/4 cup
  • Gelatin 1-1/2 tbsp
  • Cold water 1/4 cup
  • Vanilla essence a few drops
  • Whipping cream chilled 1 cup
  • Cream of tartar 1/8 tsp
  • Fresh strawberries 1-1-1/2 kg
Method:
  • Line a 9-inch springform pan with the chocolate cake layer. Arrange half the strawberries on the cake layer. Melt the chocolate over warm water and set aside. Sprinkle gelatin over cold water then leave it for a few minutes till it becomes spongy. Heat over medium heat till dissolved or in the micro for 30 seconds on high. Separate the egg yolks from the whites and keep aside the whites. In a small bowl, beat egg yolks till pale and thick. Add condensed milk gradually and beat well till mixed properly. Add melted gelatin to the yolks and mix well. 
  • Now add the melted chocolate in the yolk mixture. Whip the chilled cream till it is nice and fluffy. Fold it in the chocolate mixture. Beat the egg whites with the cream of tartar till stiff peaks. (Remember the beaters and bowl has to be absolutely grease free. Otherwise, whites will not become stiff.) Now fold the whites into the chocolate mixture. Pour over the strawberry lined cake layer and totally submerge them with choc mousse. Let it chill in the freezer for three to four hours or overnight in the fridge. Once it is set, take it out and decorate with strawberries and chocolate decorations.
