Banana Trifle


Ingredients:
  • Sponge Cake
  • Bananas 4-5
  • Cream 2 cups
  • Vanilla or banana custard powder 2 tbsp
  • Milk 2 cups
  • Banana or vanilla essence ½ tsp
  • Banana jelly crystals 1 packet
  • Water 1 cup
  • Fruit syrup or milk
  • Sprinkles to decorate
  • Sugar 3 tbsp
Method:
  • Boil milk, later add sugar and dissolve it. Dissolve custard powder in little cold milk. Now cook custard by adding custard dissolved in little milk to the pan. Add the essence. Layer the sponge cake in a trifle bowl and moisten with fruit syrup or milk. Dissolve jelly in hot water and let set. Place the jelly cubes over. Add the sliced bananas. Pour the custard over. Chill well and then spread cream. Decorate with sprinkles and serve chilled.
