Pasta in Tomato Cream Sauce
Ingredients
- Pasta, boiled 2 cups
- Olive oil 2 tbsp
- Onion, diced 1
- Garlic, minced 1 clove
- Tomatoes, chopped 1 cup
- Dried basil leaves 1 tbsp
- Sugar 3/4 tsp
- Dried oregano 1/4 tsp
- Salt 1/4 tsp
- Ground black pepper 1/8 tsp
- Cream 1/2 cup
- Butter 1 tbsp
Method
- In a saucepan, sauté onion and garlic in olive oil over medium heat. Add tomatoes, basil, sugar, oregano, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil until most of the liquid evaporates. Remove from heat; stir in cream and butter. Reduce heat and simmer 5 more minutes. Pour over pasta and serve.
