Coconut ki Purian
Ingredients for the filling:
- Mixed nuts (almonds, pistachios and raisins) 1 cup
- Poppy seeds 1 tbsp
- Caster sugar 1 cup
- Coconut powder ¾ cup
- For the filling, dry roast the coconut powder, poppy seeds, almonds and pistachios on the stove. Remove from the stove and then add sugar.
- To make purian, knead the flour by adding sugar, soda bi-carb, ghee in little bit of lukewarm water. The consistency of the batter should be soft. Mix a small amount of flour in rose water. This will be used for closing the puris. Make small loaves shaped puris. Include the filling and then deep fry in oil.
