Masala Roasted Chicken


Ingredients
  • Chicken Breasts, boneless 1 kg
  • Peppercorns 10
  • Cloves 6
  • Cinnamon Sticks 2 pieces
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Mustard Seeds ½ tsp
  • Fresh Ginger 2 inch piece
  • Fresh Garlic 15 cloves
  • Sugar ¼ tsp
  • Lemon (Juice) 1
  • Salt to taste
  • Vinegar as required
  • Dry Kashmiri Chilies 4
  • Oil 3 tbsp
Method
  • Apply lemon juice to chicken breasts and set aside. Grind with very little vinegar all the above mentioned ingredients except oil to a thick paste. Apply this paste to the chicken & marinate preferably overnight in the fridge. Heat oil add broken dry chilies & marinated chicken breasts. Fry the chicken breasts on high flame till steam is released from the chicken. Reduce heat & cook on slow fire with the lid closed.Make sure the chicken is cooked through & dry but some gravy should be retained. Cool slightly and then slice the chicken, place on a plate & drizzle some of the gravy on it. Serve garnished with French fries.
