Roast Chicken


Ingredients:
  • whole Chicken 1
  • Rosemary,Thyme,Oregano 1 tsp
  • Lemon 1
  • Garlic 1 pod
  • Onion 1
  • Olive Oil as required
  • Salt as required
  • Black Pepper as required
Method: 
  • Wash the chicken well and completely pat dry it. Sprinkle salt and pepper liberally inside the cavity. Then add the quartered onion, lemon and garlic pods. Add the Rosemary, oregano and thyme into the cavity. Take some olive oil and massage it on the outside skin well. Sprinkle salt and pepper liberally to the skin. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees C and bake for 40 minutes. Let the chicken rest for 20 minutes. This helps retain the moisture and juices in the chicken. You can serve the chicken with roasted potatoes or steamed veggies and fries.
