Pakistan Cake


Ingredients For the Cake :
  • Unsalted Butter 175grams
  • Caster Sugar 175grams
  • Eggs 3
  • Flour 140grams
  • Baking Powder 1 tsp
  • Ground Almonds 85grams
  • Milk 100ml
  • Vanilla Essence 1 tsp
  • Green Food colour 3 tbsp
For the Icing
  • Cream 100ml
  • Dark Chocolate, chopped 200grams
  • 50g unsalted butter
  • Green sprinkles as required
Method :
  • Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in eggs now add in sifted flour, baking powder and then fold into the butter mixture along with the almonds. Combine milk, vanilla essence and the food colouring and add to the batter, then mix until evenly coloured. Pour into the prepared tin and bake at 180 degrees C or until a skewer comes out clean. Cool for 10 mins in the tin, then transfer to a wire rack. For the icing, gently heat all the ingredients over a low heat until combined. Leave to cool, then chill until needed. Spread over the cooled cake and decorate with the sprinkles, if using.
