Egyptian Rice


Ingredients:
  • Rice (boiled) 1/2 kg
  • Chicken (debone and cut in pieces) 1
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Cream 1/2 cup
  • Almonds (halved and roasted) 10-15
  • Onion (cut in rings) 1
  • Soya sauce 1 tsp
  • Corn flour 1/2 tbsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Samosa strips (cut in squares and fried golden) 1
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
Method:
  • Fry onions till golden and set aside. Marinate chicken with salt, pepper, corn flour, soya sauce for an hour. Heat oil, cook chicken with little water till tender. Beat yogurt and cream together. Arrange rice on a platter, put the chicken on top. Cover with yogurt and cream mixture. Put almonds and onion rings on top. Arrange the fried samosa strips on top. Serve immediately.
