Choux Pastry


Ingredients:
  • Water 1 cup
  • Butter 80 gm
  • Icing sugar 2 tbsp
  • Sifted flour 1 cup
  • Eggs 3-4
Method:
  • Place 1 cup of water and 80gms of butter in a saucepan and bring it to boil. Once it starts simmering, add 1 cup of sifted flour and 2 tbsp icing sugar and mix rigorously with a wooden spoon on medium heat. Cook for 3-4minutes till the dough shapes into a ball. Set aside to cool for 5 minutes before adding the eggs, lightly whisked, one at a time, each time till fully incorporated. Keep mixing till all the eggs are added and it gives a glossy look.
