Spaghetti in Meaty Sauce


Ingredients
  • Beef mince 250gm
  • Sausages chopped 2
  • Pepperonis sliced 2
  • Capsicum, chopped 1
  • Garlic, chopped 1 clove
  • Onion, chopped 1
  • Carrot, diced 1
  • Mushrooms sliced 1 cup
  • Tomato paste 1 cup
  • Tomatoes chopped 1 cup
  • Tomato ketchup ½ cup
  • Beef stock cube 1
  • Bay leaves 2
  • Dried thyme 1/2 tsp
  • Dried oregano 1/2 tsp
  • Dried basil 1/8 tsp
  • Crushed red pepper 1/8 tsp
  • Ground black pepper 1/8 tsp
  • Sugar 1/4 tsp
  • Boiled spaghetti 1 packet
Method
  • In a large pan cook the beef mince, sausage, pepperoni, capsicum, garlic, onion, carrot. Cook until beef is no longer pink. Drain into a large colander to drain extra grease.In another pan, add the mushrooms, tomato ketchup, tomatoes, tomato paste, beef stock cube, bay leaves, thyme, oregano, basil, crushed red pepper, black pepper, sugar and stir well. Pour the meat mixture into the pan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
