Brownies


Ingredients
  • Chocolate 2 ounces
  • Unsalted butter 6 ounces
  • Caster sugar 1 cup
  • Eggs 2
  • Vanilla essence ½ tsp
  • Flour ¼ cup
  • Salt ¼ tsp
  • Walnuts (coarsely chopped) 1 cup
Method
  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Butter an 8-inch square baking pan.In a saucepan, melt the chocolate with the butter over low heat, stirring until completely melted. Remove from the heat and stir in the sugar. Add eggs and vanilla essence. Stir in the flour, salt and walnuts and mix well. Spoon the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-40 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
